“Amazing Bangladesh (Book- 1)”
Amazing Bangladesh has been designed as a resource for Bangladesh Studies for students of Class III to VIII. The broad aims of the series are to define and develop the social identity of Bangladeshi students, enhance their knowledge about different aspects of the country, develop their awareness of Bangladesh’s rich cultural heritage and the glories of the Bangla language, and promote civic values. It is also designed as a comprehensive introduction to Bangladesh for anyone who is not familiar with the country.
Amazing Bangladesh has a new and fresh approach. The four strands – History, Culture, Geography and Civics – reflect different aspects of the country, which are necessary to gain a holistic perspective.
We acknowledge the significant contributions of Shabnam Huda and Manwar Shamsi Shakhawat, who conducted the research that is the basis of this book. We are deeply grateful for their hard work, detail orientation and vision, which have allowed us to compile this text for young children.
